Creating an invisible hem can be a bit more laborious; the invisible hem foot is designed to help you improve this technique. The foot has a metal guide in the center and three grooves on the underside of the foot. While sewing the hem, press the fabric fold firmly against the guide of the invisible hem foot while the grooves prevent the fabric from slipping.
The needle passes over the middle metal guide, and a slightly lower tension allows the left stitch to pierce the fabric as little as possible, making it almost invisible.
