It all started
Gambetta Street.
1974. A family opens a haberdashery in the heart of Montpellier, on Cours Gambetta. No grand ambitions declared, just the desire to offer beautiful products at fair prices, with good advice.
The seamstresses in the neighborhood are settling into their routines. They talk as much about patterns as they do about life. The shop is becoming a place where people feel at home.
This is where it all began. Nothing more, nothing less.
In 2000, a bet:
open a store that never closes.
In 2000, we launched online with the hope of reaching a wider audience. It worked better than we expected. Customers from all over France, and then Europe, began to trust us.
In 2013, a warehouse in Vic-la-Gardiole to better prepare orders. In 2021, a showroom dedicated to sewing machines. We are growing steadily, at our own pace.
We remain what we have always been: a small family business that strives to do its job well.

At Rascol, orders are prepared by hand. Fabrics are carefully measured, cut, and folded. It's slower than a machine, we won't lie to you. But it's what we do best, and we stand by it.
