The Diagonal Seam Tape is placed on the sewing machine to facilitate sewing without marking lines on the fabric beforehand!
It is placed in front of the sewing machine's feed dogs, with the red sewing line aligned with the needle. The black lines represent a perfect 1/4" seam allowance, which helps guide the fabric, create HST (Half Square Triangle, 2 triangles) without fabric marking, and is a great help for beginners learning to sew and keep long strips of fabric straight.
The diagonal sewing tape is masking tape, so it is strong, thin, and removes cleanly. Remove it after each project to avoid any residue on the machine.
