Ideal for marking all light fabrics without damaging the fibers. Tailor's chalk is a historical accessory in sewing and garment making. This small tool is essential for marking pattern lines: darts, placement of pockets on pants or harem pants, location of ruffles... they allow you to delineate cutting or pleating areas.
It comes off with the first wash. Rectangular chalks are particularly suitable for long lines. Always test on a piece of fabric to ensure the chalk erases properly. For dark fabrics, we recommend using the Bohin chalk pencil.
It is also advised not to mark the seams but the margins so that any marking residues are not visible and to do it on the reverse side of the fabrics.
